Meeting Mister Baldwin

(For those who don't know: Cecil Baldwin is the voice of Cecil from Welcome to Night Vale)

Guys. I actually met Cecil Baldwin yesterday. I was waiting for almost four hours strait with a fifty pound backpack and no chairs outside Booksmith to see the live WTNV reading and I actually saw Cecil-flipping-Baldwin walking towards the entrance, towards me and I waved to him and said "Hi Cecil!" and he. actually. came over. to. me. and he waved and said "Hey! How's it going? How long have you been waiting?" and I said "About four hours and thirty minutes." and he stared at me and said "....FOUR HOURS?! Wow. That's commitment." and then he started talking to me about something, but I was just too mesmerized from the fact that I was actually having a conversation with him that I completely blanked out to what he was saying. But at the end, he said "Well I gotta go set up. I hear they brought pizza for us." and I said "Alright- and before you go, would you mind if I took a quick picture with you?" and he hesitated a bit, but said "...*sigh* Yes, because you've been waiting so long." Then I lent my camera to the person behind me and Cecil put his arm around me while I was internally screaming and after the photo he said "Alright guys, nice talking to you, but I have to go stuff my face with pizza now." And he left, and during his performance, I sat in the front row, and one of his lines required him to point at certain people in the audience, and on the last point, he pointed to me and looked directly at me and I had a heart attack. It has been almost 24 hours since this, but I am still shaking. Definitely one of the best days of my life. Without a doubt.
